My Favourite Things from 2024
Hi, friends! Can you believe another year has come and gone? It feels like each year is passing by faster and faster, doesn’t it? One moment I’m unraveling a rebellious skein of yarn, and the next, an entire year has flown by. But here we are, and I’ve got a steaming cup of Tea —to spill all about my absolute favorite things from this year.
Just a quick note: some of the links provided may be affiliate links, so if you’d like to support me and help keep The Littlest Pumpkin Patch going, please consider using them.
Let’s dive in!
💚 Favourite Yarn: Rico Creative Chenillove 🧶
Picture this: the softest, snuggliest yarn you’ve ever held, and then imagine it doesn’t shed like a stressed-out cat during summer. That’s Rico Creative Chenillove, my absolute favorite yarn discovery this year. The quality? Chef’s kiss. The texture? Like knitting clouds. The only downside? Its pastel color palette—gorgeous but oh-so-limited. I’m holding out hope they’re not discontinuing it (seriously, does anyone know?), because I’m already scouring the internet like a madwoman trying to hoard enough skeins to last a lifetime.
I found a close second, however it is a bit chunkier, but just as lovely to work with: Hello Love chenille yarn
🧡 Favourite Pattern: The Cutest Little Hot Cocoa ☕
Okay, this one has a special place in my heart—and not just because he’s my Etsy shop’s bestseller. The Cutest Little Hot Cocoa was my very first pattern release, and let’s just say he’s the little mug that could. He gave me the courage to start sharing my creations, and seeing all of you love him too has been nothing short of magical. (Yes, I’m tearing up a bit. No, I’m not apologizing.)

💗Favourite Book: The Christmas Tree Farm by Laurie Gilmore 📚
Oh, holiday romance, you sweet, sugary escape from reality. The Christmas Tree Farm is the third book in the Dream Harbour series, and while book two didn’t exactly sweep me off my feet, this one was everything I wanted and more. It’s cozy, it’s charming, and it’s set on a Christmas tree farm. Need I say more? It’s like curling up with a blanket, a mug of hot cocoa (wink), and the gentle hum of holiday cheer in book form.

💝 Favourite Scent: Sol de Janeiro 71 🍪
Imagine stepping into a wonderland where it’s always autumn, always cozy, and someone just pulled a fresh batch of spiced biscuits (hello, Biscoff vibes) out of the oven. That’s Sol de Janeiro 71. This scent has been my signature all season long, and every time I spritz it, I’m transported to my happy place. Bonus: it lingers beautifully, so I’m basically walking around in my own aromatic hug all day.
💜 Favourite Holiday: Lake Como, Italy 🍝
November in Lake Como is like stepping into a dream—albeit a quieter one, since many places were closed (seasonal destinations, am I right?). But even in its off-season slumber, Lake Como enchanted me. Italy always does. Do you ever get that feminine urge to leave everything behind and buy a tiny bed and breakfast in a sleepy Italian town? Yeah, me too. Every. Single. Day.
💛Favourite Makeup Product: Perfect cover BB Cream by MISSHA 💄
If you’ve ever wanted a makeup product that’s basically a soft filter for your face, Missha’s BB Cream is your new best friend. It’s lightweight, flawless, and somehow manages to look like your skin… just better. It’s been my go-to for years, and it’s still holding its crown. Korean beauty, you’ve done it again.

💙 Favourite Music: Linkin Park’s New Releases 🎵
Yes, Linkin Park is still a vibe, and this year, they gave us Heavy is the Crown. Emily’s vocals are hauntingly beautiful, and while Chester will always hold a special place in my heart, Emily’s addition was an inspired choice. This song has been on repeat, and let’s just say my inner emo kid is thriving.

🖤Biggest Personal Achievement: Launching My Shop 🛍️
This year, I took the plunge and started my Etsy shop (and my webstore!), and it’s been the ride of a lifetime. Seeing so many of you download Shaun the Snowman has been surreal. Seriously, if you’ve made him, send me pictures—I’ll cry happy tears and frame them all.

So there you have it—my year in favorites. It’s been a cozy, creative, and heartwarming journey, and I’m so glad I get to share it with all of you. Now, tell me: what were your favorite things this year? Let’s swap stories, gush about yarn, and maybe plot our Italian B&B escape.
Stay cozy, my friends!
